Passing of Olivia Corson

To the beloved community of Olivia and her family,

We are writing to share the news that our beloved Olivia Corson passed away on Tuesday, Dec 30, 2025. She has been a deeply pivotal community organizer, movement leader, and activist her entire life. We all are in mourning!

Many of you may already know that Olivia experienced a series of major health challenges in the last 2 years that greatly impacted the quality of her life. She pressed on and kept leading and teaching Body Tales (her life’s work) and maintained connections to her numerous other communities. This past weekend (Saturday, Dec 27th) she experienced a significant increase in pain and a trip to the ER confirmed the seriousness of her condition. She chose to move into hospice care and returned home on Sunday, Dec 28th where she was lovingly cared for by friends and family. Many close family and friends came over to sit vigil, sing, and play music. She passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday, December 30th surrounded by Rhea, Rick, several close childhood friends, and members of her Body Tales and Land communities.

We will be in touch to share more details about in-person and virtual gatherings for the community, how to support the family in the coming weeks and months, and celebrating and honoring Olivia’s life and legacy.
